Fall Registration Now Available

Thanks for your emails for the registration! We have uploaded new forms for the 2014-2015 season for all of our groups onto the website. Please pull up the correct form and fill out and send in to us to reserve your spot. Our official start date of the season will be September 15th. Seniors Saturday morning Smiles

200 fly: Angela Stahl started the show with a steamin 200 fly coming back in a strong 35.77 and cracking the 2:20 mark for a 4 second drop and another big swim. Nico “now 16” Lastauskas shattered his best by 5 with an evenly paced handsome 200 fly (208.42).

50 free: Kyle blazing trails Bushta cracked the 24 second mark and achieved the yard senior cut with a new best. (23.74).

200 breast: Laura shining and stylin Hartman breaststroked out to a 2 second drop,cracking 2:40, and another impressive swim for her first senior meet (238.76). Cat Donlon then went on the prowl with a smashing 2 second drop of her own with a strong finish to her swim (237.87). Nico Lastauskas then set another goal of cracking a barrier and earned it with a 4 second drop in his birthday 200 breaststroke (218.92), getting soo close to a final swim.

100 back: Roomies Angela Stahl and Peyton McNulty took on and conquered the 100 backstroke. Peyton “well done” McNulty swam a beautiful race to show off her stuff and also tackle the waters for her first senior meet (105.84). Ang didn’t show any dignity of STAHLling in her back going out in 31.71 and coming back in 31.83, finishing with a 1.5 second drop (103.54).

500 free: Angela Stahl then jump started BDAs 500s with smooth and strong swimming, and also jumping up in the rankings to qualify herself for a nighttime swim, dropping another second from her state swim a week ago (518.70). Katie Voitik then took on her 500 with style beautifully pacing her race after a quick start and earning herself a nighttime swim as well (510.89), breaking loose and showing what she could do. Nico Laustauskas continued to tear up his swims on his birthday breaking his BDA 500 record and dropping time from districts, finishing with a flying engines roarin13.3 on his final 25 (456.50).

Time Trials: Peyton McNulty kept her best times Rollin toddy as she dropped a second from her 200 IM in a strong time trials swim, making the most of her opportunity. Cat “versatile” Donlon then achieved a best of her own knocking off a rockin 4 seconds from her best ever IM and earning another senior cut on her way (217.34).

Thanks to Jeff Lastauskas for being the team driver and to Krissy Lastauskas and Denise Voitik for getting lunch and a table with perfect timing for the team! We really spore curate all the parent support. And thanks to Susan Hartman fur bring the designated scorer for the meet and also helping us secure Abington thus week!

Senior Championships

Congrats to our Senior Championship Team: Angela Stahl, Katie Voitik, Nico Lastauskas, Cat Donlon, Kyle Bushta, Peyton McNulty, and Laura Hartman!

We will be having practice at 6:45 Thursday morning, and heading down to York together on a van (we will discuss exact departure time tomorrow am).

We will be staying at Four Pointes Sheraton in York together with rooms paid for by BDA, and will return Sunday evening after finals.

We will be attending prelims and finals as a TEAM and will be eating together between sessions and after finals.

Dom will be there Thursday thru Fri evening and JB will be there Fri evening thru Sun if you need to contact a coach.

Mia Nonnenberg tackled her 500 with a beautifully paced race taking charge and going after her swim and finishing with a silver medal within a second of her best (448.82).

Then the golden girls 400 free relay took the stage for the final swim of the meet. Cat Donlon jumped out of her box and cruised to her best 100 free lead off leg cracking 54 (53.85). Katie Voitik kept the thunder rolling finishing with a strong 53.70 split. Angela Stahl continued to let herself shine big with another best 54.22 split, and Mia Nonnenberg anchored her team (51.44) to a new school record and silver medal performance (333.21).

The girls team of 4 earned a 5th place finish as a team with only 4 girls. Pretty exciting stuff for Scranton Prep Swimming! Congrats on your super team effort!

Angela Stahl earned our Swimmer of the Meet with her consistent outstanding performances , especially getting better and better on each relay swim she did. Great to see all that hard work pay off in huge ways!

Congrats to our State team this year for making it, learning and growing through their experiences and coming together for some outstanding swims!
